How Taxes Are Applied
Which taxes apply? Mindvalley may be required to charge indirect taxes, such as VAT (Value Added Tax), GST (Goods and Services Tax), or sales tax, depending on your billing location and local regulations.
How is the rate determined? Taxes are automatically charged based on your billing address provided at checkout and are calculated at the prevailing rate set by local tax authorities at the time of purchase/renewal.
Please update your address promptly in Account > Billing & Subscription, if you have changed your billing address to ensure appropriate sales tax is applied.
Where will I see the tax? Any applicable tax rate and amount will be explicitly listed on your invoices.
Tax Exemptions
Business (B2B) Exemptions: B2B purchasers with a valid VAT number may qualify for exemptions in certain regions using the reverse charge mechanism.
How to Claim:
Select your billing address country.
If a B2B exemption is available for your region, the option “I'm purchasing as a business” will appear. Please select that.
Enter your valid VAT number without spaces (e.g., DE1234567) during checkout. VAT will be removed automatically upon successful verification.
Important Notes:
Exemptions apply only to businesses with registered VAT (B2B), not individual consumers (B2C).
The system cannot issue VAT refunds once processed. If input was incorrect, you will need to cancel and repurchase your order with the correct exemption.
If you encounter “The provided tax ID is invalid for this region” when submitting VAT number for exemption, please refer to your local tax resources to identify the correct format for VAT number submission.
For specific taxability details, please consult your local tax advisor.
